IMPORTANT NOTES ON WHAT IS NORMAL TO EXPECT
– There may be slight swelling immediately after the treatment. This is individual and differs between each person. This will go down in 1-3 days.
– Eyeliner will appear thicker immediately after treatment. This will shrink when healing.
– If there is any immediate swelling, this can visually affect the look of the eyeliner. Please be patient while this subsides.
– Colour healing is generally a 3-week cycle.
– Week 1: They will be darker & sharper than usual.
– Week 2: After the top layer has flaked off, it can look quite dull & patchy; even to the point you think the pigment is gone.
– Week 3/4: Pigment starts to come back out in the skin, and you will be ready for your touch up.
– Please be aware, in some rare cases, clients may require a third touch up appointment, dependent on skin or if aftercare is not followed correctly. This is priced as an additional touch up.
1. Do not wet your lips for 5 days.
2. Do not apply make up on your lips for 7 days.
3. Apply an after care balm generously everyday for 5 days. This must be applied using a clean cotton tip. Keep applying regularly to ensure lips are moist at all times.
4. Do not wet your lips. Drink through the straw provided. When brushing your teeth, you will wet them slightly but just be careful. When you are finished blot off excess water with a clean paper towel/tissue and apply after care balm.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON WHAT IS NORMAL TO EXPECT
– Colour intensity can be extreme for the first week. This will fade 50% as the healing process occurs.
– Lips may be swollen and tender for the first 1-2 days.
– Lips may be still numb immediately following the treatment because of the topical anesthetic. After the numbing has gone you can gently use an icepack to help with swelling or an oral anti-histamine can help with this.
– Day 3-5: The lips will generally become very dry and chapping will occur. Keep applying aftercare balm.
– Day 3-5: The top layer will slowly start to flake off when putting the cream on. Do not pick this off. Let it gradually flake off when it is ready.
– Avoid ‘messy food’ for 5 days & drink out of a straw.
– Colour may start to appear very dull after the top layer has came off. This is a normal part of the healing process. Please wait 6-8 weeks for the full colour to be evident.
– Please be aware, in some rare cases, clients may require a third touch up appointment, dependent on skin or if aftercare is not followed correctly. This is priced as an additional touch up.
1. Exposure to sun, salt water, chlorine and chemicals (put sunscreen on your tattoo)
2. Sun can cause fading over time.
3. Products containing Glycol Acid and Rentin A must be kept completely away from the tattoo as continued use could lighten colours.
4. If you have oilier skin than normal, the longevity of the pigment can be less as the oil pushes the pigment out the skin.
5. Lighter pigments will fade faster than dark colored pigments.
6. Smoking can cause the cosmetic tattoo to fade faster.
