Booked separately after your first appointment and required for optimal, long-term results. All additional touch-ups and colour boost treatments are optional, but recommended.
If you have previous lip tattooing (from another artist or studio), approval is required before booking.

Sheer Lip ‘Blush’ Tattoo
A soft, ‘tinted lip balm’ enhancement designed to restore your natural lip colour.
Sheer Lip Blush Tint subtly enhances the lips with a sheer wash of colour, perfect for clients who want to look fresher without looking like they’re wearing lipstick. This treatment improves overall tone, definition and balance while maintaining a very natural, “your lips but better” finish.

How is my lip colour chosen?
I select lip colour using undertone analysis, your natural lip pigment and how colour heals in the skin. If you’re not sure on colours, I can create a lip colour from assessing your skin tone, natural lip colour and preferences in your desired outcome.
If you have a favourite lipstick or balm, you’re welcome to bring it, I can custom-mix a shade inspired by it.
Will my results look natural?
Yes, a natural result can absolutely be achieved. Every lip treatment is thoughtfully designed around your natural lip tone, skin undertones, facial features and lifestyle, rather than trends. If you would like natural, we can create natural for you.
The level of colour saturation is fully customisable, allowing results to heal as “your lips, but better”, a soft tinted-balm finish, or a more defined lipstick effect.
What does lip tattooing actually do?
Lip tattooing restores colour, balance and definition to your natural lips. It can correct uneven tone, enhance shape and give the appearance of healthier, fuller lips without filler. It can even camouflage unwanted scarring for a more youthful lip.
Is cosmetic tattooing painful?
Everyone’s tolerance is different, but comfort is prioritised. Most clients rate the sensation around 1–2 out of 10.Advanced numbing and a calm studio environment are all part of your experience.
Do you offer lip tattoo consultations?
Yes, I have two options, depending on how you like to chat:
- 15-minute FaceTime consultation (complimentary)
- 30-minute in-studio consultation ($30, redeemable)
Both are designed to give you clarity, honest guidance and zero pressure.
What is the healing process like?
Healing takes around 5–6 days:
Day 1–2: Colour appears bold and vibrant & occasionally there might be slight swelling.
Day 3–4: Light flaking/dryness as the top layer starts to flake off.
Day 5-6: The bright top layer has now disappeared & colour looks soft & much lighter.
Weeks 4–6: Colour settles into the lip & colour starts to brighten again.
A touch-up is recommended once healing is complete. See aftercare instructions.
I get cold sores. Can I still have Lip Blush?
Yes, but preventative medication is required.
- Occasional cold sores: Famvir (pharmacy)
- Frequent cold sores: Valtrex (GP prescription)

If I want lip filler and a lip tattoo, which treatment should I do first?
I recommend having lip filler first to restore volume and hydration. Once the filler has fully settled, lip tattooing can be performed to refine shape, enhance symmetry and add colour. A minimum waiting period of 4 weeks post-filler is required before tattooing to ensure the lips are fully healed.
I want to book a lip treatment for someone else, do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Digital and physical gift cards are available for any amount. Digital vouchers are emailed instantly, and you’re welcome to pop into the studio to collect a physical gift card.
I've just had lip filler, how long do I have to wait before getting tattooed?
A minimum waiting period of 4 weeks post-filler is required before tattooing to ensure the lips are fully healed.
I’m unsure whether lip filler or lip tattooing is right for me, how do I decide?
This depends on your desired outcome. Lip filler adds volume and projection, while lip tattooing restores lost colour, enhances shape and can create the illusion of fuller lips.
Filler is a higher ongoing investment, typically requiring maintenance every 6 months, whereas lip tattooing lasts 1–3+ years, with optional colour boost treatments every few years.
For many clients, tattooing is a more cost-effective way to enhance the lips long term. You’re welcome to send through a photo for assessment, and I can guide you on the best option based on your goals.
How long does lip tattoo last?
Lip tattoo results typically last 2–4+ years, depending on skin type, lifestyle and pigment selection.
Refresh appointments are guided by your individual preferences, with many clients choosing to return every 18 months to 2+ years to maintain their results.
